we went to tulum on our honeymoon (see post here!) we fell in love with the laidback hippie vibe immediately and knew we wanted to buy something to remember the trip. we found this art that a local family had made out of tree bark. we looked at dozens and dozens of these squares, and finally decided on five that we wanted to bring home. in the shop, the family had the squares displayed on a simple canvas, so we decided to recreate that look. i can’t we’ve been back for almost eight months and have yet to get this project done. better late than never! i hope that every time we look at it now, it takes us right back to cabanas tulum and that week we spent as newlyweds.
