smack shack date!

on friday night we went out to dinner at smack shack, which is a seafood restaurant right in our neighborhood. our friends sara and ryan got us a gift card there probably a month ago now, so its been on our date night list for awhile. they know we don’t eat meat on fridays during lent, so it was very thoughtful of them to pick a spot where we could have a friday night date! (thanks sara and ryan!!) unfortunately we could only enjoy a few diet cokes during dinner, but less then a week until i can enjoy a glass of wine (or a guinness if your name is tony!)

i love wearing this wisconsin law sweatshirt (its tony’s but a bit small for him), so i’m the one who usually wears it. i get comments all the time asking about law school, and i always just kind of nod and smile! i feel like i am inadvertently taking credit for three years of school and a doctorate degree while wearing it, but i just like the sweatshirt! maybe i should wear some of my own wisconsin gear… ‘wisconsin accounting’ doesn’t get any comments (trust me).

tony got a pretty good laugh out of the fact that i unintentionally color coordinated with the old bay can.

we ordered the fried green tomato po boy, catfish sliders, and fish and chips. all were very delicious! we love a good friday fish fry!

our countdown to vacation is in the single digits now! unfortunately this dinner didn’t jive with our swimsuit diet, but oh well, we’ll stay strong this week! hope everyone had a great weekend!
