this weekend we went "up north" to northern minnesota for dan and autumn's wedding. the wedding was at the manhattan beach lodge, which is very close to where autumn's family cabin is on cross lake. this is also where all of the wedding party got to stay. going "up north" is very special for dan and autumn, as dan has been coming up here with autumn's family since high school (high school sweethearts!). tony had the honor of being a groomsmen and standing up with dan for the big day, and we ... robert and nikki.
over the weekend we were in east lansing for tony’s friend robert’s wedding. robert was in our wedding back in june, and tony was very happy to return the favor just 4 weeks later. this was the first wedding we had been to since our big day, and it was such a relief to just be a guest. i appreciate and enjoy weddings so much more knowing everything that goes into them. robert and his wife nikki are huge michigan state fans and their wedding reception was actually at the football stadium. ... the room and board outlet.
we've been on a hunt for a chair for the new condo for awhile now. something comfortable but also modern. multiple people have told me that i must go to the room and board outlet. i love room and board because it's modern, and also really well made, but the prices at the regular store just won't work for our budget. i was thrilled to find out that they also had an outlet. the outlet is is in golden valley and is only open saturday 10-4 and sunday 12-4. the building is a warehouse on a weird ... our hippie honeymoon in tulum.
from the minute I found this little hippie paradise, I knew it was perfect for our honeymoon. after the craziness of planning a wedding, all we wanted to do was get off the grid and this zen beach retreat was it. when I say off the grid, I mean it literally. tulum is not on the power grid. there were no street lights, our hotel generated its own electricity, we had air conditioning only at night, and our room didn’t have a tv or a fridge. we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. don’t get ... every last detail.
our wedding reception was at aria in the north loop of minneapolis. the minute we toured this venue i knew it was the one. we wanted our wedding to be modern yet traditional and this restored warehouse was perfect. aria is a complete blank canvas for a bride to do whatever she wants with. this is the best (but also worst) part because the choices are absolutely endless. at the end of the day, i choice the vendors that i connected with and who i trusted to execute my vision. the 8 foot ...
