I absolutely love planning trips. I love to research, read blogs, browse tons of sites, and I also love the anticipation and excitement of looking forward to a trip for months. That being said, it’s super fun to plan trips last minute! When plans fall through, or Tony can get away from work, our first thought is, “let’s plan a trip!” Last minute travel can be expensive and overwhelming, but it can also be super spontaneous and fun. We are randomly going to Madison this weekend because we are ... View the Post
5 Favorite Foods at the Minnesota State Fair (2018!)
The Minnesota State Fair is the highlight of our Summer (if not the entire year!) Tony says that State Fair day is actually his favorite day of the year and that it is better than Christmas. I'm not quite sure it's pretty than Christmas, but it's pretty great. This year I went three times (not a record, but a good number). I got to enjoy the fair first with my sister and her boyfriend, then with my team from work, and then with Tony (which is my favorite way to experience the fair!) The ... View the Post
Labor Day Sales: Time to Shop for Fall!
I saw someone post recently (regarding Labor Day sales) that saving money on stuff you don’t need isn’t really saving money. While I agree with that, my intention with posting about sales isn’t to get you to buy anything you don’t need. My intention is really to alert you to sales that are going on, so in the case that you do need something (new jacket, new jeans, etc.) you would have the information to go and buy it. I also like to recommend things that I love and can recommend and speak to, in ... View the Post
Minneapolis Monthly: Fairgrounds Coffee
Fairgrounds Coffee recently opened in the North Loop and this is exactly what we have been missing in our neighborhood. We have been needing quick-service restaurant where we can get quick sandwiches, a quick breakfast, etc. Don't get me wrong, we love the restaurants in our neighborhood (we have some amazing restaurants!) but there aren't many that you can get in-and-out in 20 minutes and for $10. Tony and I stopped in here one weekend morning and it was hopping! The North Loop is pretty dead ... View the Post
My Experience with Lash Extensions
FIRST IMPRESSIONS On Saturday I got eyelash extensions and so far, I am obsessed! I have smaller almond shaped eyes (that are also heavily lidded) and I think the lash extensions really make my eyes look so much bigger. I think the difference is subtle (in a good way). The people that see me all the time are like, “hey your eyelashes look great, did you do something different?” Whereas people who haven’t seen me for a while can’t quite put their finger on it. I’m worried that I’m not going to ... View the Post
Fall Try-On Session at Old Navy
Over the weekend I popped into Old Navy to look for some more affordable Fall items. I had jackets and pants in mind, and they really delivered! Old Navy had some great cozy sweaters, very polished looking jackets, and jeans in the most fun colors for Fall! I put together so many outfits (18!) in the fitting room (and took a bunch of photos!) I kept peaking out to make sure there wasn't anyone in line waiting for a room because I would have felt horrible with with how long I was taking! But, ... View the Post
