ella turns 5.

today ella turned 5. it seems like just yesterday that i rescued her and brought her home. she was just 10 pounds of black puppy fluff. most people find it strange to adopt a dog while in college. i kind of agree. but i am so so glad that i did. she changed my whole world and brought so much joy to my life. we have moved together from madison to chicago and on to minneapolis, and have an extremely strong bond. an unhealthy bond (let’s be honest). i enjoy spoiling her and giving her pretty much whatever she wants. when tony came into our lives almost four years ago, he loved her right away. it has been so sweet to watch their little relationship develop.

for ella’s big day we went to the dog park at minnehaha falls. this is one of her favorite places. there is so much space for her to run around and play. she loves swimming and was itching to get in the river. we decided it was too cold for that this year. maybe next year when you turn 6 ella girl.
