A few weeks ago, we got back from our babymoon in Kauai! Baby is due this Summer and we wanted to take one last “big” trip before baby arrives. It was a perfect opportunity to get away (just the two of us) and really relax. We both felt like this vacation was the first time (EVER) we truly relaxed and forgot about everything. We had planned on going on a babymoon in May (around 30 weeks pregnant). May seemed like a good time to get away and I really wanted those photo memories of me looking ... View the Post
Why You Should Travel While ‘Trying’ and Where To Go
I was hesitant to plan a lot of big or long trips while we were ‘trying’ because I thought at any moment I might be pregnant, and I may not want to go on a big trip while pregnant. Well this is incorrect thinking for numerous reasons. Why You Should Travel While 'Trying' First, I obviously didn’t get pregnant for months and months and months (hello infertility!) If I didn’t plan these trips, I would have missed out on all the fun and not been pregnant anyway. My girlfriends from work were ... View the Post
Liss Travels: Bimini
Ain’t no place in the whole wide world like Bimini! Bimini has been on our radar for a few years after seeing it on not only the Bachelor (anyone else remember when they went there on Nick’s season?) but also on the Jersey Shore. Bimini is a chain of islands about 50 miles from Miami. The proximity to Florida and the new high-speed ferry make it an easy travel destination! Tony and I had originally planned an 8-day trip to Florida in November in need of some R&R. Our last few big trips ... View the Post
10 Tips for Last Minute Travel

That being said, it’s super fun to plan trips last minute! When plans fall through, or Tony can get away from work, our first thought is, “let’s plan a trip!” Last minute travel can be expensive and overwhelming, but it can also be super spontaneous and fun. We are randomly going to Madison this weekend because we are ... View the Post
Staycation at the W Minneapolis
On Saturday night, Tony and I got to do a little 'staycation' at the W Minneapolis. Even though we live downtown, it was such a fun treat to be able to enjoy our city like a tourist! We have NEVER done a staycation in Minneapolis, but now that we have, we said we should do it twice a year! What do you think? Saturday night may have been the best night of my life. Why? I MET SAM HUNT! When we were walking in to the W, he was walking out. Can you believe that? I turned to Tony and said, ... View the Post
Liss Travels: 5 Days in Iceland
Iceland Travel Diary We took the 10pm flight from Minneapolis (which is direct!) It’s so random that you can fly direct to Iceland from Minneapolis, but so convenient! We left at 10pm and landed around 9am in Iceland (6 hour flight and 5 hour time difference). When you arrive in Iceland and clear customs, go straight to Duty Free to buy alcohol. The alcohol in Iceland is super expensive and Duty Free is a fraction of the price! Day 1: Blue Lagoon and Getting Settled From the airport we ... View the Post
