this weekend we had a party for the kentucky derby! tony kept calling it our "first annual derby party" so i think we may be having one every year! we requested everyone "dress to impress" in their finest derby attire (big hats encouraged!). our friends really got into it. so did we. tony pulled out his seer sucker suit, and the hat i am wearing i've had since i was six years old! to make it even more fun, tony and i setup a horse wagering board for our friends to bet on the horses. because the ... farmer’s market.
as some of you know, tony had surgery last week. it was very unexpected, but the surgery went well and tony is doing great. thank you to friends and family who have helped us out in the past few weeks. we really appreciate it! tony has not felt up to doing much, but on sunday after church, he said he felt like going to the farmer's market. here are a few photos from our day! tony insisted that he buy me flowers, which is the cutest (the tulips are pretty on point right now!) we have an exciting ... these are just some photos of what we've been up to lately! lacrosse season started the day we got back from vacation, so tony has been super busy. tony is the offensive coordinator for anoka high school (go tornadoes!) i get to as many games as i can, but it's nice to have a little "me-time" too while he is coaching. other than that, we have been hanging out at a lot of local breweries, enjoying some new restaurants, and loving the weather! check out more photos and updates below! tony's ... better belize it!
coco loco? you better belize it! the first stop of our cruise was to belize city, belize. we had originally intended to do a cave tubing excursion, but due to the zika virus, we thought it best to opt out. we booked a snorkeling excursion instead, and it ended up working out great! the excursion company picked us up at the cruise ship, which was super easy (and convenient!) and then took us out to the barrier reef. belize is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world, and it actually ... a fiesta in cozumel!
our waiter on the ship mentioned that the beers in cozumel were only a dollar, so we knew it would be a good day going into it. we didn’t plan an excursion for cozumel, we just felt like checking out the island. when we got off the ship, we took a cab to the main square. none of us had ever been there, so it was fun to just walk around, eat, drink, and shop. at the end of the day (maybe it was all of the beer), we decided to walk back to the ship. this was a questionable idea because it was so. ...
