Last month I started a new series called 'Minneapolis Monthly' where monthly I share one of my favorite spots in Minneapolis. You can see last month's post here. This month I chose Parallel Coffee. This coffee shop is new (within the last three months or so) but it's quickly become my absolute favorite. It's on the edge of the North Loop in an area I'm not really sure what to call? When people ask where it is I tell them it's by the Lyndale Farmer's Market and I feel like that's the best ... View the Post
Self-Care Sundays
On Sundays I get major “Sunday Scaries.” I find it extremely hard to fall asleep because I am so anxious about the week ahead. I’m in bed wide awake right now (while my husband is snoring). I thought, no better time to write this blog post! I have a self-care routine that I do on Sundays to combat the “Sunday Scaries” and help myself relax. Because we had an insanely busy weekend, I didn’t get the chance to do my Sunday routine. Maybe that’s why I am so wide-awake right now? Anyway, there are ... View the Post
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas Under $50
Who deserves a beautiful gift for more than mom? The most under-appreciated job in the world is for sure being a mom, and they deserve a lot more credit. Or at least a nice gift! I picked out gifts that I think a lot of different moms would love, and maybe a few unexpected ones as well. These gifts range from $6 to $50, so there should be a gift for every budget. This copper french press is elegant and timeless! This would be great for a coffee lover or a mom that loves to ... View the Post
minneapolis monthly: rise bagel
I decided to start a new series on Wedded Liss called 'Minneapolis Monthly' where once a month I share one of my favorite spots in Minneapolis. It could be a restaurant, a bar, a store, or anything really! I've lived in the North Loop of Minneapolis for three years now and have lived in the greater Twin Cities since middle school. I like to think I know the best Minneapolis spots. To be honest, I get asked for Minneapolis recommendations almost as often as links for clothes, so I think this is ... View the Post
28
A few weeks ago I turned twenty eight. I have to admit, 28 is an age that is affecting me a little bit. I know that sounds silly. But at 26 and 27, you're in your "mid-twenties." Now at 28, all of the sudden it's expected that you have your life together. "How many kids do you have?" Um, none? "You're not drinking, I didn't realize you were expecting!" I'm not? Others make conversation about how annoying it is to mow the grass, shovel snow, (insert home related task here), and I'm over ... View the Post
Recap: Minneapolis Bloggers Union Kick-Off Event
A few months ago my friend Sam (also known as Downtown Blondie) reached out to me wanting to know if I would help start the Minneapolis Bloggers Union. She and Claudia from Miles and Smiles were starting this group where bloggers in the Twin Cities could learn, grow, and support each other. I took a few days to think it over, discussed with Tony, and sent a message back to Sam that just said, “I’m in!” I’ve gotten to know Sam over the past year or so (through blogging) and she is the ...
