I had my 35 week appointment this week and I am already 3 centimeters dilated! Although I didn't intend on writing the third trimester bumpdate this soon, it's time! The babies could really be here any day, and I want to make sure I get everything documented (see other bump dates here and here). I was looking back at my third trimester bumpdate from my first pregnancy, and saw that I wasn't at 3 centimeters until 38 weeks (and Rosie was born a week later!) If I were a betting person, I would say ... View the Post
Postpartum Essentials
I made myself a little 'postpartum essentials kit' this week so I thought I would share what I included. Right now I have all of these items in an old basket in our bathroom for easy access. Most of these products I used after my first pregnancy, but some of them are new to me. Postpartum essentials are going to vary from person to person, but here are some of the things I have ready for my postpartum experience, so I hope this helps! Hot and cold gel packs - I haven't used these ... View the Post
Rosie 2.5 Year Update
This post is a bit delayed but Rosie is 2.5 years old! The journey from 2 to 2.5 has been wild considering that in that time we found out we are pregnant with twins! Rosie's world has certainly been turned upside down! I love that she is such a little person these days. We have the best conversations, she tells jokes and has opinions, it's seriously so fun. I never want to forget her singing voice, her laugh, the way she says, "Mommy, I want to hug you," or her little dances. We did a ... View the Post
What I Packed In My Hospital Bag (Twin Pregnancy)
I am 34 weeks along with our sweet twins and the babies could be here any day. No matter what, at 38 weeks we will be inducing labor or doing a c-section (if they are not here yet!) so that's just four weeks away. I feel like it is way past time to get a hospital bag ready! A few differences between this hospital bag and my last one... First, twin pregnancies *usually* result in a c-section, so this time around I am trying to pack with that in mind. Second, I have to pack enough gear for two ... View the Post
A Letter To Our Twins
Dear Twins, Sometimes when you pray for a miracle, you get two! We prayed and prayed for a baby to join our family and we were overjoyed when we found out we were having twins! What’s funny is, I just knew we were having twins. I had a feeling (and a lot of sickness!) and somehow knew there would be two of you! You both truly are gifts from God and we are so thankful and blessed that both of you were sent to our family. You both LOVE to move and I feel you all the time (so much more than ... View the Post
Twins Second Trimester Bumpdate
Hello third trimester! This pregnancy has gone by extremely slowly for me so it feels amazing that the third trimester is finally here. It's no secret that a twin pregnancy is ROUGH and I'm excited to be saying goodbye to the second trimester. In three words, in the second trimester I was sick, sick, and sick! Although I have loved being pregnant, I am very excited to meet both of those babies (and I am equally excited to not feel sick and sore all the time!) ANNOUNCING! At the start of ... View the Post
