Between the fact that we bought a boat and our pool is open, I have baby swim items on the brain! These are some of the baby swim items we are using (or have used in the past!) There are even some sales going on right now. Get your baby ready for Summer!
1 – Babyganics Sunscreen
Rosie has been through multiple bottles of sunscreen in her short life! This is the sunscreen we are currently using. I like the one in #2 better, but I do like that this is more of a lotion and rubs in better. This 2-pack is on sale right now!
2 – Aveeno Sunscreen
This is the sunscreen that I prefer for her, and the very first one I ever bought. It does not rub in that well (thicker than a lotion) but I actually preferred that. I ended up with the Babyganics one because we were on vacation in February and this is all that the CVS store had for her.
3 – I play Swim Diaper
This swim diaper is very absorbent and works very well. We had this in the 0-6 month size first and now we have the 6-12 month size. The only disadvantage to this diaper is that you have to up the size every 6 months (see 4 below!) It’s a #1 best-seller and has almost 2,000 reviews!
4 – Babygoal Swim Diaper
I bought this swim diaper originally because it was so cute (has roses on it!) but it is not as absorbent as the one above. That being said, it is adjustable and can fit a tiny baby up to a 2 year old. If you only want to buy one, buy this one. But I will say, it does not work as well as the one above.
5 – Mesh Ring Sling Wrap
This ring sling is mesh and waterproof, so you can baby-wear in the pool or ocean (or even in the shower!) I used this wrap when Rosie was little, but I may try and use it again this Summer. Someone I used to work with recommended it and I think it’s a great find for a newborn up to 6 months. We have the grey but it comes in lots of colors.
6 – Clip-On Stroller Fan
I knew having a Summer baby that I would need this fan for her car seat and stroller and it really came in handy! It runs on batteries, so unfortunately it doesn’t last forever. I even brought this to the hospital when I delivered and it was so nice because it was very hot on July 27th! It’s on sale for $14 right now.
7 – Wide-Brim Sun Hat
This is the best baby sun hat ever! We’ve been using this daily for months now. She doesn’t seem to find it too much and it stays on really well. It comes it tons of colors (at least 20) and the fabric really protects from the sun.
8 – Ruffled Retro Suit
This swimsuit is the honestly the cutest thing ever. I found it on Amazon (love anything with roses of course!) and put it in Rosie’s Easter basket. It has a retro vibe with an apron top and ruffles on the butt. It comes in pink, blue, or yellow and comes with a cute matching hair bow.
9 – Speedo Life Jacket
Rosie hates wearing a life jacket in the boat (don’t worry, we force her!) We may try a few options until we find something that she really likes, but until then we are using this one. Although she doesn’t like it in the boat or when she is crawling around, she actually kind of liked wearing it in the pool. This life jacket is 20% off right now!
10 – Tassel Bikini
This bikini was a gift from Rosie’s grandma and it is darling! This is perfect for the beach or a fun vacation (if we ever get to travel again!) I put her in this on a cloudier day since it has a little less sun protection. I love the tassels and the print. It’s a little on the pricier side, but it would make for a cute gift!
11 – Ruffled One-Piece
H&M is one of my favorite places for baby clothes and they have really cute and really affordable baby swimsuits as well. The solid pink that we have is no longer available, but they have this cute striped one right now. Grab this 20% off (just $14) right now!
12 – Babiators
Rosie has a lot of different sunglasses but these sunglasses are probably the best quality. They are on the pricier side, but actually do block the sun and seem to work well. Rosie isn’t one for keeping sunglasses on these days, but they are still pretty cute!
13 – Baby Swim Float
This baby swim float is good for ages 3 months to 9 months so Rosie has now outgrown it. The baby lays down on their back in this kind, so once they are moving and wiggling around it doesn’t work well anymore! We just got this one for an older baby that she can sit up in.
