tony and i were back in chicago this weekend for my friend (and grad school roommate) melanie’s wedding. her (now) husband adam is actually from scotland and wore a kilt for their wedding(!!). tony and i agreed after this weekend that all men should wear kilts instead of tuxes. it was kind of amazing.
my favorite part of the weekend was catching up with our friends that live too far away to see all the time. this is the main perk of being at the age when all your friends get married. the “wedding circuit” allows us to see each other much more often than would otherwise happen. which is so. fun. i hadn’t seen my old roommate chelsea (below!) in probably 2 years?!
i was most excited to see mel (the bride!) and also alexis, katie, and chelsea. the five of us lived together during grad school in a building we affectionately call “240” (240 landgon street actually). we had (i’m not kidding) the. best. time. ever that year. katie once referred to that year as our “unicorn” year. the kind you only get once.
please note my right arm in this photo. clutch. phone. wine. all with one arm.
i was the first to get married back in june, mel in october, and soon we will be at alexis and gordy’s in january. can’t wait for another 240 wedding!
