Sonny and Theo turned one on March 27th! I can’t believe how fast that year went (seriously fastest year of my life!) One is such a fun age because they are learning something new every single day. They are taking their time hitting certain milestones, but we are here for it! I am so nervous for the day that they are both walking, so for now I will enjoy that the “baby stage” is lasting a little longer for these two!
Sonny (our baby A) is my little mama’s boy! He loves cuddles, rocking, and hugs. He is crawling and standing for a few seconds on his own. I will always remember his sweet smile, how he rises early with the sun, the way he says “mama” on repeat, and how we rock before bed. My Sonny Boy is so fearless and so so brave!
Theo (our baby B) is my little fighter. He is so sweet, calm, and observant. He is getting so strong at crawling and really working hard to pull up. I will always remember how he sucks his thumb, how he shakes his maracas, the way he cuddles into your chest, and the way he watches ever thing around him. My Theo Buddy is the toughest little guy! There is no challenge he can’t face.
For Sonny and Theo’s 1 year photos, we wanted to do a cake smash. The boys loved it! You can both of their personalities so much in these photos. I love the photos where they are interacting with each other, and love those big smiles. We love these sweet boys so much!

SONNY AND THEO’S SCHEDULE:
Obviously every day is different, but here would be the goal schedule for us right now.
- 7:00 – wakeup, bottle, and breakfast
- 9:00 – nap
- 11:00 – wakeup, play, and small bottle
- 12:30 – lunch
- 1:00 – nap
- 3:00 – wakeup and snack
- 5:30 – dinner
- 7:00 – bottle and bedtime
I really like for them to nap at 1pm when their big sister takes a nap. It’s nice because I get a little break! But the downside of that is that they have a pretty long wake window before bedtime and they can get a little cranky. It’s funny how different schedules and things are when you’re not the first child! These babies just roll with whatever we have going on that day (preschool, activities, play dates, etc.)
PRODUCTS FOR 12 MONTHS OLD:
HERE ARE SOME OF THEIR FAVORITE THINGS RIGHT NOW:
Sleep Items – We use mainly Kyte sleep sacks for them. They always use this sound machine and we have these blackout curtains. My favorite pajamas are Angel Dear!
Eating and Drinking – For water, we started with these bear ones and then added these cups too. We also recently started doing some milk in these Dr. Brown’s straw bottles. They seem to work great for babies that are used to having Dr. Brown’s bottles. We would like to drop bottles around 14 months (but we’ll see!) For snacks, we’ve been using these cups and they are great!
Car Seats and Strollers – When they turned one we switched them from infant car seats to these convertible car seats. I love that they rotate because it makes getting them in and out of the car super easy. We are still loving our double stroller. For Christmas, we got a Wonderfold Wagon and it is super nice for strolling with all three kids.
Other Twin Gear – We still use the Twin Z pillow and Table for Two for bottle feedings. That’s really the only way to do the feedings when one of us is by ourselves at bedtime.
Favorite Toys – They love stacking cups, this egg toy, and musical instruments. They also still really love to bounce in these. They love this whale toy that we got them for their birthday.
