Rosie is 3 years old! I cannot believe that we have a three year old! We have officially left toddlerhood in the rearview because now we have a preschooler! At age 3, Rosie feels like my little best friend and partner in crime. We have inside jokes, we crack up laughing all the time, we have our favorite outings to do together, we pick out clothes and do makeup, and we just have so much fun. I know that God gave me a daughter so that I could have this lifelong best friend. She is seriously the coolest kid and we are so lucky. I never want to forget the way she stands with her hands on her hips, her wild curly hair, the 10 times a day outfit changes, or the sound of “Mommy!” (which I heard 1 million times per day!)
We took these photos a few days before Rosie turned 3 and I think they really capture her perfectly. We have taken photos around her birthday every year and I love this tradition. I can’t believe how different she looks from last year!
Here is all about Rosie at.3 years old!
Rosie Is A Big Sister!
Since Rosie’s last update, our family grew by two! We welcomed our twin boys in March and Rosie is (officially) a big sister! The transition has been tough on Rosie in a lot of ways (tough on the whole family to be honest!) I think Rosie struggled a lot having to share mom and dad, but also having to share the attention of grandparents, friends, etc. with the two babies. We find her acting out in different ways and have struggled a bit with her behavior. We’ve had AMAZING help from family since the babies were born, but with all of the fun visitors and helpers, we lost a lot of structure for Rosie too (and she thrives on routines for sure!) But even though Rosie has had her tough times, she is also thriving as a big sister. She loves the babies SO much and is the biggest helper. Rosie will throw away diapers, get bottles, play with the babies, get their pacifiers, etc. She is a mini mom! Rosie is so affectionate with them. She hugs and kisses them all day long! Rosie likes to call the babies her “cutie guys,” “cuddle guys,” “baby wabies” and countless other nicknames.
