Rosie at 18 months is so much fun! Tony and I keep talking about how funny she is. We could both watch her all day long. Rosie imitates everything we say (even the words she shouldn’t!) and also comes up with her own super funny things too. I love the way she covers her own eyes to do “peekaboo.” She cracks me up when she shouts “Oh no!” in response to something. I never want to forget how she turns her back to me to tell me she wants to sit on my lap, or how she lays on my chest to watch cartoons, and I will never get sick of hearing her say “mama mama mama” all day long. Being her mom is the absolute best and she is the best daughter I could ever ask for!
Here is all about Rosie at 18 months!
WHAT ROSIE IS DOING:
- Saying so many new words I had to stop keeping track! She says bottle, cracker, thank you, love you, coco (my sister), cookie, ho ho ho, cold, brrrrr, green, blue, mine, more, done, all done, purple, pink, oh no, Minnie, marker, shoes, and socks.
- Started using utensils and she’s getting the hang of it. She especially likes to eat yogurt with a spoon.
- Crawls underneath the couch, table, anything!
- Climbing up onto chairs, her table, everything!
- Starting to be a pickier eater! She loves cheese and fruit.
- Puts her hand out to shake when you say “shake on it.”
- Pretends to sleep when you say “night night.”
- Loves drawing and painting (especially with the color green).
- Trying to use tongs and tweezers and other fine motor tools in her sensory bins.
- Starting to really like screen time (oh no!) and loves Minnie Mouse.
- Loves to wear hats and mittens and will wear them often around the house.
- Has 16 teeth (those last 4 were difficult!)
FUN THINGS WE HAVE DONE LATELY:
- Lots of play dates with friend Brooke!
