Going on dates is one of our very favorite things to do! Even after having a Rosie, we still prioritize date night. I have to admit, bringing our third wheel along on the date is just as fun! In honor of Valentine’s Day next week, below are 10 of our very favorite date nights in the Twin Cities. Most are in the North Loop (the best neighborhood and one we called home for five years), but there are some other neighborhoods in there as well. Enjoy and let me know what your favorite date nights in the Twin Cities are!
1 – A Staycation at the W Hotel
We did a staycation at the W a few years ago and we loved it! It’s the perfect opportunity to try out some downtown restaurants, walk and shop around Nicollet Mall, or relax in the spa.
2 – Cocktails at the Hewing Hotel bar
The Hewing Hotel is #designgoals and it’s such a beautiful place to hang out. One of of favorite parts about this bar is that it’s dog-friendly! Bring your four-legged friend and enjoy some sips and light bites.
3 – Cossetta’s for Italian and then a Wild game
This is probably Tony’s idea of the perfect date. He LOVES eating at Cossetta’s (specifically pizza) and he loves hockey. This would be a fun date for the whole family.
4 – Brunch at Bellecour
Bellecour is our FAVORITE brunch. I’m so happy that where we moved to is very close to this spot! We love the burger, the croquet madame, and the quiche, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
5 – A hot coffee and a walk around Minnehaha Falls
Most people think of walking around the falls as a Summer activity, but it’s so pretty in the Winter when it’s frozen! We also like to visit the off-leash dog park that is near there. Grab a hot coffee and stroll hand in hand on this fun Winter date.
6 – Try different foods at Graze Food Hall
Graze was a new addition to the North Loop and we went there so many times when Rosie was a newborn. It’s kid-friendly (and there is an elevator for strollers). We like to try out all the different foods and have a few beers as well.
7 – Brewery hop around the North Loop
The North Loop has so many breweries to check out. I would start at Inbound, work your way over to Fulton, have one at Modist, and then finish with a beer and dinner at Freehouse. Make sure you Uber to this date!
8 – Walk, shop, and eat around the Mall of America
This is another great date night for the whole family. We love to load Rosie up in the stroller and just walk around. My favorite meal here is Shake Shack, but I have been wanting to try Sugar Factory, which looks really fun for kids too.
9 – Cocktails and the best burger ever at Parlour Bar
I want the Parlour burger to be my last meal on earth. It is so good! They also have really fun cocktails and a fun lounge environment. My favorite date night here was my birthday last year when I was pregnant. They cooked my burger well-done and made me a mocktail. Such a fun memory!
10 – Check out the Ice Castles in New Brighton
Tony and I went to the ice castles a few years ago and it was so cool! If it’s not too cold, this is also a great idea for kids. There are literally thousands of icicles and tons of lights. Tickets are $12 for kids and $18 for adults on the weekends. It’s a little spendy but very fun!
Shop the Post
Dress – This dress is stunning and nursing friendly! I wore it to a wedding a few weekends ago and I loved it! It is super comfortable, hides the areas you’re not so confident in, and is very flattering. It’s on sale for $35 and comes in a few colors.
Coat – I saw this pink sherpa coat in-store and knew I needed to have it. I love that it makes a fun statement and is also warm. The burgundy and pink together make such a fun statement! It’s also on clearance for $30.
