The “June” installment of my Minneapolis Monthly series is The Lynhall. I didn’t get around to posting it in June, so here we are! The Lynhall is a darling little cafe in South Minneapolis. Owner Annie Spaeth, a former lawyer, created not just a restaurant, but a community that connects over food. The is evident in the fact that besides being a restaurant, it’s also an event space, kitchen studio, and incubator kitchen.
The cafe is a counter-service restaurant and bakery that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast and sweets are particularly good, I recommend going for brunch or for a coffee and bakery item. The tables are communal style, encouraging all of us standoffish Minnesotans to sit together. Aesthetically, this restaurant is straight off of Pinterest. It’s basically HGTV’s Fixer Upper brought to life. I actually wish that I lived inside The Lynhall!
