It is definitely not a secret how much I love these bagels. I talk about them over and over again. Rise Bagel first opened in North Loop about a year ago. Prior to that, they didn’t actually have a storefront and were selling at farmer’s markets and pop-ups around the city. I literally followed them around. Rise Bagel is selling at the Wedge? I’m there. They’re going to be at the Richfield Farmer’s Market this weekend? I’m there. The owners literally started recognizing me because I was borderline stalking them. Now that they are in my neighborhood (just a few blocks away!) I can go there whenever I want. I have eaten four bagels in the last two weeks and I’m not ashamed of that.
My favorite thing to order is an everything bagel with either garlic or scallion cream cheese. I do like bagel sandwiches also (the roast beef sandwich is insanely good), but I am a purist when it comes to bagels. I prefer just a bagel with cream cheese. Rise Bagel offers just five choices of bagels (everything, sesame, salt, plain, and and poppyseed), so I know they are bagel purists too. These bagels aren’t cheap (maybe $3-$4 for a bagel with cream cheese) but the ingredients are all organic and the bagels are hand-made. The bagels are hard on the outside and soft in the middle. The bagel is very similar to a bagel from New York (which is very hard to find around here). It’s by far my favorite bagel in Minneapolis and I think it will be yours too.
This looks delicious. I haven’t been there yet.
You need to! Obviously I’m slightly obsessed 🙂
My husband and I love a great bagel morning! We will definitely have to check this place out!!
Yes you need to! It’s the best!
