Fall is my absolutely favorite time to shop at Trader Joe’s. I went a few weeks and bought honestly 30 different seasonal products. I got home and Tony was like, “do you think maybe you went overboard a little?” Nope, don’t think so! Some of the items I get every single year (looking at you pumpkin Joe Joe’s), but some of the products I have never tried. I have done the extremely difficult and grueling task of trying everything (lol), and I narrowed it down to my favorite 15 Fall Trader Joe’s products.
1. Pumpkin Spice Cookies
These cookies are absolutely delicious, and to be honest, I didn’t get to eat that many because Tony finished them all! These cookies are shortbread with a yogurt and pumpkin icing on them. The pumpkin flavor is pretty subtle, and it doesn’t give you that ‘over the top’ pumpkin taste. Highly recommend with coffee or as a dessert.
2. Pumpkin Rolls
Buy these the next time you’re having friends or family over for brunch because 5 rolls is way too many for 2 people (take my word for it). They come in a can that you just pop open and bake (similar to a Pillsbury can). They are super easy to make and super tasty. The rolls are pumpkin spice, with a pumpkin spice filling, and pumpkin spice icing! This is definitely an item for anyone who LOVES pumpkin!
3. Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage
This is an item I get every single year. I love to put just a few tablespoons in my coffee for a subtle pumpkin flavor (and way cheaper than those PSLs!) If you want to get even more fancy, pour some of this in a milk frother (Tony surprised me with this one recently!) and your mind will be blown. I’m sure there are other things you can do with this, but I haven’t tried anything but coffee. Let me know if you do!
4. Fall Harvest Salsa
Trader Joe’s pretty much kills the game on salsas. We love the corn salsa, salsa verde, peach salsa, island salsa, and on and on. We pretty much always have some of their salsa in our fridge. In the Fall they have a ‘Fall Harvest Salsa’ that is phenomenal. Pair it with #15 for a delicious appetizer.
5. Pumpkin Joe-Joe’s
I love Joe-Joe’s (of all kinds) and the pumpkin ones do not disappoint. If you have never had one before, Joe-Joe’s are Trader Joe’s answer to Oreo’s (not sure if they are any healthier?) I assume that kids would love these as well, but I cannot confirm. Tony likes these, so at least they’re husband approved!
6. Pumpkin Vinaigrette
This is the one item that I could not find at Trader Joe’s this year. I’m not sure if they are not carrying it this season, or if my location was just out. If you have seen it, please let me know! This is one of my favorite products and every year I buy a bottle and save it for Thanksgiving. I always make the salad and toss it with this and it gets rave reviews.
7. Butternut Squash Parmigiana
You will always find frozen Trader Joe’s dinners in our freezer. They are my favorite easy dinner for work nights (and Tony loves them too). I spotted this (and #8) this year in the frozen section this year and both are delicious. I find that butternut squash has a lot less taste than pumpkin, so even those that aren’t super into all these Fall flavors like it.
8. Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese
This mac & cheese is another delicious frozen section find. I love their mac & cheese at Trader Joe’s, so I just assumed this would be great (it was). It looks kind of gross straight out of the package, but once it’s all heated up and stirred, it looks normal. Tony and I could eat this every night I think.
9. Pumpkin Ravioli
The pumpkin ravioli is another favorite of mine year after year. You will find it the fridge section near the pre-made wraps and things. I didn’t include it in this post, but they usually have some sort of ‘Harvest’ pasta sauce that has pumpkin and fall vegetables in it that I will serve with it, but any sauce will do!
10. Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin Seeds
Sure you could make pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds very easily yourself, but why would you when they’re a few bucks a bag at Trader Joe’s? I have been keeping these at my desk at work for a fun snack during the work day. You will find these with the dried fruits and nuts (yes this section is very large, you may have to search a bit!)
11. Pumpkin Bagels
Everyone knows my bagel obsession, it’s not a secret. I am usually not one for grocery store bagels (give me Rise Bagels every day) but when Fall comes around, I like to dabble with pumpkin bagels from Trader Joe’s (or wherever really). I love these pumpkin bagels with some Trader Joe’s pumpkin cream cheese!
12. Apple Caramel Greek Yogurt
The Trader Joe’s yogurt is a favorite of mine no matter the season. Some flavors they will have all the time, but they throw in some seasonal ones for which I am very appreciative. I like the apple caramel flavor and also the pumpkin flavor (shocking I know). This year I also found caramel apple granola at Trader Joe’s which is really good on top!
13. Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark
This bark is heavenly. I don’t even know what all is in here to be honest, but it’s some sort of almond, pumpkin, maple, and chocolate heaven. It’s a total guilty pleasure for me and I have found myself rationing the bag because I want it to last me a long time! It’s really a dessert, but I feel like it’s appropriate to eat this any time of day.
14. Pumpkin O’s
Similar to good old-fashioned Cheerios’s, these pumpkin O’s just take it to the next level. The pumpkin flavor is super subtle, but just enough to give you all the Fall feels. When Tony isn’t home for dinner, I sometimes find myself just pouring myself multiple bowls of this and just calling it dinner.
15. Pumpkin Tortilla Chips
Grab a bag of these chips when you buy the salsa in #4 above! Pumpkin tortilla chips are something you never realized you needed in your basic Fall life until you tried these. I love them and would eat them plain honestly.
