Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? I pretty much ignore all “fashion rules.” If you love it, you should wear it. That being said, I have a few tips for wearing white in the winter.
3 Tips on Winter White
- Mix it up with different shades and textures. I suggest creating a more “tonal” white look with cream and beige. I have on an off-white knit sweater and some bright white denim. Wearing all bright white is going to look summer-y (trust me). Try combining beige, white, and cream, and try different patterns too.
- Do not also wear white accessories. When you are styling up your winter white look, do not also wear white shoes, a white scarf, and a white bag. Your accessories are the place to add other color and experiment. I went with a black and white scarf and my go-to camel pumps. My scarf is winter-y too so it helps tone down this white look.
- Keep it simple! This look is best kept minimal. Denim, cozy sweaters, and simple tops are your friend here. I would not choose this time to experiment with another new trend or piece. I love this look for a casual weekend day shopping or having dinner. Don’t go crazy here.
