a few weekends ago, tony and i spent a fun day at the pool with ella. ella lovesssss swimming. when she sees water, she just jumps right in it. it can actually be difficult sometimes to get her out of the water! and if a tennis ball is involved? forget it. the dog days of summer sure are fun! but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. i can’t believe we are now halfway through august! only a few weeks left to finish our summer bucket list… 3 items left! can we do it?
but remember the SPF!
whatever your plans for the end of summer, remember the SPF! i am pretty fair myself, and have to really be careful when spending time outside in the summer. coola recently sent me two lip balm sunscreens. i got the liplux (SPF 15), which goes on clear so your husband, kids, etc. can wear it too. i also have the skinny dip (SPF 30) which has a subtle tint. i’ve been wearing it out in the sun (wearing skinny dip in these photos) but also at work because i like the tint. the lip balms also smell great. the liplux is peppermint + vanilla and the skinny dip is earl grey (one of my favorite scents!) i also love that the coola products are water resistant, have vitamins and antioxidants, and of course the UVA/UVB protection.
enjoy these summer moments (with SPF!) because they will be gone soon!
*coola provided me complimentary products for editorial/social consideration. as always, all opinions are my own.

Aww Ella is so cute! Ace has never been in a swimming pool but he loves the lakes! Not a fan of rain or baths though. I’ll have to check out this lip balm, never heard of it!

Thanks Erin! Ella loves any and all water. Lakes. Pools. Puddles. Doesn’t matter!

Don’t even remind me we’re halfway done–August has BLOWN by! Although, I can’t complain too much because I’m excited to dive back into school after a few years off.
This summer I started out being really good about sunblock… and as it’s sped up I’ve gotten rather lax. It’s really no excuse to have brown Latina skin–those rays are still really damaging. Thank you for the reminder to take care!

Good work on the skin care! I am super fair skin, so I am always covering myself in SPF!!
