hi and happy friday! friday night means date night at our house. tony and i always try to make date night a priority. because both of us have been so busy these last few weeks, we haven’t had a date night in a while. needless to say, i am very excited to get out and enjoy minneapolis with my husband. minneapolis has so many fun date night spots! i thought i would highlight some of our favorites and also my new favorite date night dress!

our 5 favorite date night restaurants

spoon and stable: this is our very favorite restaurant in our neighborhood. we find ourselves going back there when we want to do something special. we love to cozy up in the bar. get the spinach and cheese curds and stay for the dessert.

the freehouse: this is for a more casual date night. we love to have drinks on their dog-friendly patio tony’s favorite meal of all time is the gnocchi at this restaurant. if you get this, you will not be disappointed!

butcher and the boar: one word. meat. this will be your restaurant if you are a serious meat-lover. we like to sit in the beer garden which is perfect in the summer. also, you must get the hot dog.

maya cuisine: we actually just discovered this mexican restaurant. we are obsessed. they have amazing tacos, tortas, and tamales, and also a fantastic salsa bar.

cossetta’s: this is the only saint paul restaurant on our list. we don’t often cross the river, but for cossettas we do. this restaurant is great for a nice dinner or for just grabbing a slice. i also love to come here before a concert or a sporting event.

a perfect date night dress

a girl must always have a killer dress ready for date night. i love dressing up for dates even when the date isn’t that fancy. anyone else? and this summer is all about the LWD (litte while dress!) i picked this dress up at kissona last weekend knowing it would be a perfect “date night” dress. this dress is flirty and fun and perfect for a night out with my husband. if you haven’t noticed i am super obsessed with anything off the shoulder. this dress has a major off-the-shoulder situation, and a seriously dramatic sleeve. if you want a more simple date night dress, i love this cut out neckline and also this white crochet number.
