Rosie is 3 months old! It has been so fun to watch her grow these last few months. I still can’t believe it sometimes that I get to be her mom! It’s hard to even remember what life was like before her. She is the sweetest and happiest girl and I love her so much!
I thought it would be fun to document all about Rosie at 3 months.
What Rosie is Doing:
- Keeping her head up with full control over her head and neck
- Staying awake for a lot longer during the day and having fun with more play time
- Looking at hands and feet
- Nursing well (after lots of visits to a lactation consultant!) and less supplementing
- Smiling a lot (and smiling back at us!) as well as sticking her tongue out
- Sleeping 3-4 hours a night at time, although she has slept through the night twice
- Trying to sleep train and get on a good schedule
Fun Things We Have Done Lately:
- Did a ‘New Mama’ class and met other moms and babies
- Went on lots of walks with mom during the day
- Dressed up in outfits and took lots of photos with mom
- Went on a fun trip to Kansas for her Sip N See party
- Did lots of Fall activities like going to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch
- Went to a baby and mom yoga class
- Watched a lot of football with Dad
Products for 3 Months Old:
In this post I talk about some of my favorite products for newborns. Rosie is such a big girl now she is moving on to other fun things! Here are some of our more recent baby purchases.
Activity Mat – I recently ordered this activity mat so that Rosie could get some more stimulation during her play time. This particular one has thousands of good reviews.
Toy Arch – This arch hooks on to pretty much anything and I thought it would be great to hook on the Baby Bjorn that we love so much. It can also go on a stroller.
White Noise Machine – As sleep training has become a priority, I’ve been using the white noise machine to create a better sleep environment and also set the tone for our bedtime routine.
Mamaroo Swing – It took her awhile to like this swing (I had begun to think it was a waste!) but now she loves it and also naps for about 2 hours in it. I think it may be a little big for a newborn, but is fitting her perfectly right now.
Boon Bath Tub – We started giving Rosie a bath every single night as part of her bedtime routine. This is the bath that we have and it’s working really great for us! It seemed a little big for a newborn but now is great.
Thank you to Dragonfly Photography for these adorable photos of Rosie at 3 months and Tonkadale Nursery for having us!
