where to see fall color in minneapolis
last year we went to lutsen for a fun fall weekend getaway. the north shore is so pretty this time of year. and the color is absolutely stunning. tony took this photo of me (taking a photo) while we were hiking. it ended up being my favorite photo from our trip! i couldn’t help but re-post this year.
it’s getting close to “peak” color again! i am so excited! everyone knows i am obsessed with fall. and fall leaves are no exception. i was looking at the fall color finder today. have you seen this site? it’s pretty cool! there are areas already at 50-75% peak! we have a few weeks until we’re at peak here in the cities. it’s got me thinking… i need to scout a place to get fall photos this year. where are the best places for fall color in minneapolis? i was thinking st. anthony main, fort snelling, or the st. croix area. do you have any other favorites? tell me in the comments! would love to hear from you.
I’ve never done it, but I’ve always wanted to do one of those St. Croix River fall boat rides.

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum especially the wood duck trail.
